Until recently, we didn’t know there was a heated debate about lingerie.  We just assumed that it looked hot, women enjoyed wearing it for their guys, and that was the end of the story.

But apparently there are a lot of women complaining that lingerie just doesn’t work for them.  It costs too much, it’s impractical, and they don’t get to wear it for long enough to enjoy it.

So let’s tackle these criticism one by one and show everyone out there just why lingerie should still be considered a woman’s essential accessory.

Complaint #1: Lingerie isn’t worth the money.

Yes, lingerie is expensive.  A sexy corset or bustier can cost upwards of $150.  For something that’s only going to be worn in the bedroom, that can seem like a lot, especially considering that she could buy a sexy dress or an entire outfit for the same price.  And, in a recession climate, lingerie can feel like an unnecessary luxury.

So, guys, it’s up to you to make the investment worth her while.  Buy her a gift certificate so that she doesn’t have to worry about how much it costs.  Ask her to model it for you.  Make sure to compliment her lavishly when she wears it.  She’ll quickly realize that the value of lingerie is, quite literally, priceless.

Plus, don’t forget that lingerie can be worn underneath everyday clothing for a touch of naughtiness that no one will know about but the woman herself.

Complaint #2: Lingerie is fine when you’re dating but impractical when you’re married with kids.

There’s a reason that lingerie gets folded away and shoved to the back of the dresser the longer couples are together.  As you settle into a relationship, your sex life begins to take a back seat to the tasks and issues of everyday life.  Quickies before going to sleep become the rule.  Those endless dates when you couldn’t wait to get your hands on one another, when you dreamed up new and more exciting ways to seduce your partner, are no longer.  She doesn’t want to be caught by the kiddies dressed in a shelf bra and crotchless panties.  Then there’s that little issue of body confidence.  Many women, when they put on weight, feel very uncomfortable parading their naked flesh in lingerie.

Complaint #3: Why wear lingerie when it’s just going to come off again?

We can see the sense in this question.  When a woman puts on lingerie, all her guy seems to want to do is take it off.  Why put in all the effort to wear something sexy when it’s just coming off in five minutes anyway?

There’s a simple way to solve this problem.  Leave the lingerie on!  Partially clothed sex can be super-hot, because the texture of the fabric adds a new dimension to the experience.  So, guys, don’t be so keen to see what’s under that naughty babydoll.  Work around it, and you may find that it’s a whole lot more fun.
