Ever heard of a sexsomiac? How about P-GAD, also known as Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder? Thanks to the Discovery Health Channel, these conditions have come out of hiding. In the documentary “Strange Sex” (you can watch clips from the documentary here), four couples reveal their shock and horror as sexual encounters don’t go as expected. One woman hops into bed with her husband on their wedding night, eager to consummate their union by throwing away the condoms, only to feel a burning sensation, like “needles” in her vagina. She is later told by doctors that she is allergic to her new husband’s semen. Just like a peanut allergy, there’s nothing doctors can do except recommend that she and her husband use a condom every time they have sex … or find a different lover.
P-GAD, also known as Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder, is a legitimate disease that takes the phrase “high sex drive” to a whole new level. Sufferers live in a constant state of arousal, their need for sex all-consuming, relieved only by constant masturbation. One doctor describes the condition as “Tourette’s syndrome of the genitals.” And then, of course, there’s the equally frightening sex addiction, in which sufferers are addicted to the chemical high of sexual intercourse. They’ll do anything to appease their need … including living in a crack house. For more information on these conditions, visit the following links:

Leave it to the Americans to uncover the strangest sexual disorders we’ve ever heard of.
Another woman is told by her boyfriend that he fears she cheated on him with her ex. She denies it vehemently: if she had sex with her ex, she’d remember! Turns out … her memory is not as good as she thinks. She has sexsomnia, which is a condition similar to sleepwalking, where the sufferer remains sound asleep but functions as though they were awake – in this case, having sex while remaining fast asleep.
