| Bigger Penis = Happiness |

The international online study, led by Ph.D. student Annabel Chan, found that men are just as dissatisfied with their bodies as women. Only 6% of respondents were satisfied with their body size. Ninety percent wanted to be bigger. The study also found, to the horror of every woman who’s ever put a profile on Match.com, that the guys most likely to go online looking for love … were those who were overweight, unhappy with their looks, and unhappy with the size of their penis. The purpose of the study was to find out how the size of a man’s penis affected his body satisfaction, mental health, and overall health. Respondents were asked to measure their penis when erect. Although Chan expected some exaggeration, most measurements fell within the average of 10 to 15 centimeters. The men with average or below-average penises showed greater dissatisfaction with their bodies when asked to compare them to other men. Interestingly, they did not believe that their penis size impacted their sexual relationships. For Chan, this proves the existence of “locker room syndrome,” in which men are acutely conscious of how they measure up to other men. On their own, most men are perfectly happy with their size, but, when asked to compare themselves to others, most men find that thoughts of self-doubt and inadequacy arise. Chan hopes that her study will add to the relative dearth of information on male body image. Up until now, the focus of most body image research has been on women.

You gotta love Australian researchers. Thanks to the folks at Victoria University, we now know that men with big penises feel happier and healthier than the rest.
