History of the Pirelli Calendar

Back in 1964, Milan-based Pirelli Tyre Company started published a yearly calendar as a gift to their VIP clients, featuring “artistic nudes.”

The exclusive Pirelli Calendar grew into an institution, known as much for its world-class photographers (Herb Ritts, Annie Liebovitz, Mario Testino) as for the babes that graced its pages.

But not just anyone was allowed to get their hands on a copy of the calendar. Copies are reserved for VIP clients only, and the list of calendar recipients is a closely guarded secret, although Prince Charles and U2’s Bono are known to receive copies.

2010 Pirelli Calendar

Luckily, thanks to the internet, images from the 2010 Pirelli Calendar have been leaked.

Shot on location in Brazil by photographer Terry Richards, the calendar features a bevy of gorgeous supermodels baring their breasts in natural settings.
