Website Reviews

Gimps Gone WildHere we thought we’d heard of every kind of fetish, but this is the first we’ve ever heard of “wheelchair vamp dwarf” porn.

You can view said “vamp dwarf” Kitten and her cohorts at GimpsGoneWild.com, a site for disabled people “to express [themselves] in a sensual way, to seen as sexy and to be seen as adults.”

If you’re scratching your head here, we don’t blame you. The folks at GimpsGoneWild.com (GGW) explain:

“We believe that disabled individuals can be just as sexy as non-disabled individuals…. We created GGW as an outlet for the disabled person to express himself or herself with out having to be scrutinized and judged by what society deems as ‘beautiful.’”

A range of disabilities are represented by the GGW models, including muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, paraplegia, cerebral palsy, and dwarfism.

But dis-ability isn’t front and center at GGW: sex-ability is.

The models who approach GGW seeking to be represented on the website aren’t “victims” of a condition; they’re powerful individuals seeking to express their sexuality in a way that’s denied them by the mainstream media.

You just have to scan the list of names – Ecstasy, Southern Sweets, La Tigra, Viper, and Femme Stud – to understand that these models aren’t feeling disempowered or exploited by baring their bodice online.

The site was founded by Kitten and Diablo, a model and a musician who didn’t let their height (3’4”) get in the way of their dreams.

Kitten originally got the idea for the website when she visited an adult video store seeking a DVD featuring people who, like her, were in wheelchairs.  The clerk told her, “We don’t carry those videos because they might offend somebody.”

So Kitten decided to make her own erotica, and GGW was born.

Chloe MagazineKitten isn’t the first person to consider the possibilities of revealing beauty un-obscured by disability.  Chloe Magazine is an online lifestyle magazine covering beauty, fashion, health and fitness, and sex and relationships.  In other words, it sounds like every other magazine out there, but for one exception: it brings awareness to the challenges of living with a disability.  Chloe’s founder, Scott Chesney, was paralyzed by a stroke at the age of 15, and he helps others see that life can transform in a positive way no matter what challenges a person may face.

So do your part to support people living with a disability.  Visit GimpsGoneWild.com and cheer on these brave models!
