Why passively watch porn when you could direct the action yourself?  Adult video games have exploded over the past few years, and for good reason.  They’re interactive, graphic, and a lot more creative than mindless porn.

There are three kinds of adult video games: mainstream games that have been “hacked” for XXX use, dual-purpose games that combine traditional video game play with pornographic themes, and games made are solely for the purpose of sex simulation.  Here are some of our favorites.

DUAL-PURPOSE GAMES

Like chess?  Like sex?  Then you’ll love Lovechess.  The most recent release sets superbly-detailed XXX action against the backdrop of ancient Egypt.  The chess pieces represent Egyptian gods with the bodies of nubile young women and men.  When you capture a piece, you get to sit back and enjoy the show as your piece literally “screws” the other to death.  You can even play against real-world opponents in the multiplayer mode!

Two more games to be on the lookout for are The Velvet Express and Digamour.  The Velvet Express is set in the 1930s and “inspired [by] the golden age of luxury rail travel.”  Digamour, from the makers of 3D Plaything, drops you in the heart of Paris, albeit a strangely futuristic one.  You play a naked girl who has to earn cash to advance levels and purchase upgrades.

SEX SIMULATIONS

There are so many sex simulation games out there that we can’t mention them all here.  Some good ones to start out with are VirtualFem, which bills itself as “virtual companion software” and is constantly updating with new girls every month, and Virtually Jenna, where you can direct your own porn movie starring Jenna Jameson.  If you want something more natural, Cherry Dolls shows realistic-looking sex between couples in natural settings.
